Rayann B. of Hemet, CA has been an OhmConnect member for six years and has been faithfully saving energy each week alongside hundreds of thousands of members who are making a difference for the future. “Something felt a little different about this prize entry. I wonder if I am going to win this… I honestly think I will”, said Rayann. And she did just that. After she found out she won, she was in absolute disbelief and told a few close friends that she had just won the Apple iMac prize or the cash equivalent ($2,000).
Rayann and her two children routinely participate in every OhmHour and AutoOhm (what we call our energy-saving events) that come their way. They go around their home and turn off any lights and unplug any appliances that aren’t in use. (spoiler: even things that are plugged in and not turned on can still draw electricity).
“Most of the time, we make sure the air conditioner and lights are off and we make a snack, sit down and watch a movie or show together. It’s great quality time”, Rayann told us.
The adjectives were flowing: Amazing. Wonderful. Neat. Helpful. Important. These were all words Rayann used to describe how she feels about OhmConnect. Lastly, she told us, “This prize means a lot to me and will help us get caught up in some areas. Thank you so much!”
