There is nothing we love more at OhmConnect than fixing up two of our friends. When you have a chocolate bar and a jar of peanut butter in your life, how can you not introduce them? That’s why we are equal parts excited and delighted to introduce you to our new partner, California State Parks Foundation.
California State Parks Foundation is a champion for the long-term sustainability of California’s incredible state park treasures. This independent, member-supported nonprofit rallies Californians to take care of our state parks through volunteering, advocacy, donations, and just appreciating them in person. California State Parks Foundation has 70,000 members and helps protect and preserve:
* 280 miles of coastline
* 625 miles of lake and river frontage
* 18,000 campsites
* 3,000 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails
That’s a lot of Mother Nature to guard! If you enjoy any of those outdoor activities, you should consider becoming a member of California State Parks Foundation. They are also encouraging their members to join OhmConnect so they can help protect the environment from the threat of Peaker Plants, which emit the worst pollutants.
We are both trying to protect the great outdoors so that our families can enjoy the beauty of nature long into the future. Together we can make a real difference.
So what can you expect to see out of the OhmConnect x California State Parks Foundationcollab in 2022? For starters, you’ll see a lot more of California’s beautiful outdoor vistas. We’ll be featuring images from the parks on our social media accounts to remind people what they’re fighting for and to get out there and enjoy it! (So make sure to follow OhmConnect on Facebook, and follow California State Parks Foundation there as well.)
This is also going to be interactive. In the coming weeks, we’ll be asking you to share your favorite memories of visiting California state parks. We’ll spotlight some of the best ones you can check out this weekend. And we’ll even have a dedicated OhmHour to help you contribute to California State Parks Foundation’s mission.
